This Privacy Policy describes how Anchor – AI Affirmations, developed by Agile Catalyst Labs, collects, uses, and shares information when you use our mobile application (the "App"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your data with transparency.
When you use the voice personalization feature, you may record a short audio sample. This recording is:
Text you enter to describe your mood or intentions is sent to OpenAI to generate personalized CBT-based affirmations. This text is processed in real time and is not stored by us. Please review OpenAI's Privacy Policy for how they handle API data.
If you use the voice architect feature, your audio sample is analyzed by Google Gemini to derive resonance, presence, and cadence parameters. Audio is processed transiently and not retained by us.
If you opt in to push notifications, your device's push token is registered with Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM). We use this token only to deliver affirmation reminders you have explicitly requested.
Subscription purchases are processed entirely by the Apple App Store (on iOS) or Google Play (on Android). We receive only a non-personal purchase token to verify your subscription status. We do not receive or store your payment details.
The following data is stored only on your device and is never transmitted to our servers:
To measure the effectiveness of our paid advertising campaigns and improve the ads you see, the App integrates the Meta (Facebook) SDK. When you open the App, the SDK may collect and share the following with Meta Platforms, Inc.:
iOS App Tracking Transparency (ATT): On first launch, iOS will ask whether you allow Anchor to track your activity across other companies' apps and websites. If you choose "Ask App Not to Track," your IDFA is not shared with Meta, and attribution is performed using Apple's privacy-preserving SKAdNetwork framework instead. The App functions identically regardless of your choice.
Android: Attribution is performed via Google Play's Install Referrer API and your Advertising ID. You can reset or limit this ID in your device's Google settings.
Meta's use of this data is governed by their Privacy Policy and their Business Tools Terms.
The App uses Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics (operated by Google) to understand aggregate usage patterns and diagnose crashes. This includes anonymous device-level events, crash stack traces, and performance metrics. This data is not used for advertising and is not linked to your real identity.

We do not sell your personal information. We do share device identifiers and aggregated app events with our advertising-measurement partner (Meta) for the purpose of measuring and improving our paid ad campaigns, as described in Section 1.7. You can opt out at any time using the controls described in Section 7.

The App is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the App, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.
We do not operate backend servers that store your personal data. All sensitive processing (voice, AI) is performed via encrypted HTTPS connections to the third-party providers listed above. On-device data is stored in your device's sandboxed application storage.
