Agile Catalyst Labs ("we," "us," or "our") operates the SplitVibe mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use the App, how we use and share it, and the choices you have over that information.
When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and authentication credentials. If you sign in using Google Sign-In or Apple Sign-In, we receive basic profile information from those services (such as your name and email address).
We use Firebase Authentication to manage user accounts. Firebase generates authentication tokens that are stored securely on your device and used to verify your identity with our backend.
When you use the App we collect receipt data (photos of receipts and the items, prices, tax, and totals extracted from them), as well as session data such as participant names, item assignments, tip amounts, tax amounts, and currency preferences that you create as part of bill-splitting sessions. Receipt photos are processed by our OCR service so we can extract the line items for splitting.
If you grant permission, we collect push notification tokens through Firebase Cloud Messaging so we can send you relevant notifications about your sessions and account.
We use Firebase Analytics to collect usage data such as screen views, feature usage events, session creation events, and general interaction patterns. This data helps us understand how the App is used and improve the user experience.
We use RevenueCat to manage in-app subscriptions. RevenueCat collects and processes subscription status, purchase history, and entitlement information so we can grant access to paid features.
To measure the performance of our advertising on Meta platforms (Facebook and Instagram) and to help Meta optimize the ads we show to potential users, the App includes the Meta SDK (Facebook SDK). Through the Meta SDK, the following data may be collected and shared with Meta Platforms, Inc.:
iOS — App Tracking Transparency
On iOS, the App will ask you for permission via Apple's standard App Tracking Transparency (ATT) prompt before any data is used to track you across other apps and websites. If you choose "Ask App Not to Track," the Meta SDK will not collect your advertising identifier (IDFA) and will fall back to Apple's privacy-preserving SKAdNetwork framework for aggregate, anonymized install attribution only. App events and the IDFA itself are not sent in that case.
On Android, advertising data collection uses Google Play Services' advertising ID. You can limit ad
tracking or reset your advertising ID at any time via your device's system settings
(Settings → Privacy → Ads on most Android devices).
We use the information we collect to:
Your account and session data is stored securely using Firebase services and our backend database hosted on Google Cloud Run. Receipt images are stored locally on your device. We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.
We use the following third-party services that may collect and process your data:
connect.facebook.net and graph.facebook.com)Each of these services has its own privacy policy governing how they handle your data. We encourage you to review their respective privacy policies.
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with our services. You can delete your account at any time from the Settings screen in the App. When you delete your account, all of your personal data, session history, receipt data, and any other information associated with your account will be permanently and irreversibly deleted from our servers. Receipt images stored locally on your device will also be removed.
App-event data sent to Meta is retained according to Meta's own retention policies; you can request deletion of data Meta holds about you directly through Meta's data access and deletion tools.
We do not sell your personal information for monetary consideration. We share your information with the third-party service providers listed above as necessary to operate the App, including advertising partners (Meta) for the purpose of measuring and optimizing our marketing campaigns.
Under certain U.S. state privacy laws (including the California Consumer Privacy Act), the sharing of device identifiers and app-event data with advertising platforms such as Meta for cross-context behavioral advertising may be considered a "sale" or "share" of personal information. You can opt out of this sharing on iOS by selecting "Ask App Not to Track" when the App requests tracking permission, and on Android by limiting ad tracking in your device's system settings. We will honor a Global Privacy Control signal where technically feasible.
The App is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete such information promptly. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us.
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the email address in Section 10.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new Privacy Policy at this URL and updating the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of the App after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
